October 28, 2008: Pickle Martini: 2 oz. of Vodka, .5 oz dill pickle juice, 1 pickle slice, 2 drops Tabasco, dash of dry dill. Ok, so we didn’t actually mix this one… 50 people showed up! Too much hassle, served vodka based stuff (screwdrivers, etc) instead.

August 26, 2008: Super Tuesday, v0.1: Yep, Super Tuesday’s very own signature cocktail (or, at least, the first alpha version). 3 parts Grey Goose Pear Vodka, 1 part Kruskuvac pear liqueur, 1 part fresh squeezed lemon juice, 1 part simple syrup. Yeah, it’s sweet. The Kruskuvac adds a caramel overtone. Some will love it, some will hate it.
July 22, 2008: Caipirinha: 2 shots cachaca, 4 lime wedges, 1 shot simple syrup, crushed ice. Muddle the lime wedges in the syrup. Add ice, add cachaca, shake well. Serve in rocks glass; garnish with slice of lime. Warning: Mixalot mixes a meancaipirinha… you’ve been warned!

March 25, 2008: The Shamrock: 1 1/2 oz Irish Whiskey, 2 oz heavy cream, 1 1/2 oz green creme de menthe. Or maybe a dash of Chartreuse. Or white Creme de Cacao. Lot’s of ways to make the Shamrock.

Stir all of the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into martini glass. Garnish with a cherry or lemon twist if preferred.

April 24, 2007: Jade: 2 ounces pineapple juice, 1 1/2 ounces vanilla vodka, 1 ounce fresh lime juice, 1/2 ounce Midori, 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice, 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the ingredients, shake well and strain into a large chilled martini glass. Super Tuesday style, we like it a little sweeter: double the simple syrup, 3/4+ ounce Midori.
March 27, 2007: Limelight: 2oz vodka, 1oz Midori Melon Liquer, 1 splash grapefruit juice. Green for spring, or St Paddy’s. Your choice. [Update] Ok, we made this thing, and was an extremely attractive color to the lighter side of chartreuse. However, “splash” of grapefruit juice is a little too parsimonious for most. We decided 2-1-1 made a much tastier cocktail.
February 27, 2007: Chocolate Martini: 2 shots vodka, 1 shot white Creme de Cacao, 1 shot Extra Dry Vermouth. It’s Mixalot’s birthday, we are indulging her.
January 23, 2007: White Russian: 1.5 shots vodka, .5 Kahlua, .75 Heavy Cream, .75 milk. Serve in old fashioned. Still cold out, need the high octane stuff.
December 26, 2006: Poinsettia:1-1/2 oz. Absolut Vodka, 1/4 oz. Chambord, 1/4 oz. Pineapple Juice. Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass.
November 28, 2006: Peppermint twist: 1 oz. Peppermint Schnapps, 1 oz. Kahlua®, 1 oz. Brown Creme de Cacao. Fill a shaker half full with ice cubes. Pour all ingredients into shaker and shake well. Strain drink into a Cocktail glass and serve. (Tastes like a high octane Junior Mint.)
October 24, 2006: Blue Devil: 1 oz (Plymouth) Gin, Juice of 1/2 Lemon, 1 tblsp Maraschino liqueur, 1/2 tsp Blue Curacao. These were really cool, had a kind of opalesent sheen to them.
September 26, 2006: Key Lime Pie: 1 shot Stoli Vanil, 1 shot Rosie’s Lime Juice, 1 shot Half & Half. Key: You MUST use Rosie’s Lime juice. If you insist on using regular lime juice, you better have some simple syrup on hand, or be prepared to boil some up in a jiffy.
August 22, 2006: Wet Spot: 1 1/2 ounces Plymouth gin, 1/2 ounce apricot brandy, 1 ounce apple juice, 1/2 ounce elderflower syrup, 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice, 1 lemon twist, for garnish. Fill a cocktail shaker two-thirds full of ice and add all of the ingredients. Shake for approximately 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass; add the garnish. (Turns out we couldn’t find elderflower syrup. After some thought, we decided to use pomegranate syrup instead. So instead of yellow Wet Spots, we had red Wet Spots. Nasty.)
