So.
We’re back from Burning Man. At least, those of us that went are back from Burning Man. Those of you that didn’t go……we’ll see you there next year!
Walter will be hosting this month, in Emeryville. For those of you who haven’t visited Walter, his place is great for parties! Loft… huge picture window with a one-of-a-kind view (seriously, I’ve never seen a view like that from Walter’s loft anywhere else in the Bay Area).
Walter’s address:
1500 Park Avenue, #313
Emeryville CA 94608
By the way, do you get these little emails just a little too late? That is, by the time you get this email, you’re already triple-booked?
It turns out that throwing a really small party is super-easy; call a couple of friend, grab a couple of steaks, party ho. Throwing a really big party is almost as easy: “Free Booze! Bring everyone!” Throwing a party where about 15 people – not always the same 15 – show up, is actually not that easy. So we send the emails out just a few days beforehand, which seems to work just right.
That being said… this one’s a little late this month.
Now, if you want more advance notice… that’s easy too: mark every 4th Tuesday on your calender as “Super.” There. You Have Been Notified. Just make sure to check the Super Tuesday Party website to where it’s located for the month.
If all that’s too much bother, subscribe to the RSS feed on the Super Tuesday web site. Each of the emails is published the morning of Super Tuesday.
The “Burning” Brown Cow
Something special and weird this month from Mixalot:
In a rocks glass:
1 shot Kahlua,
1/2 shot Maraska Kruskovac (pear liqueur),
Splash of Angostura,
Fill the rest with milk.
If this doesn’t work out, we’ll have beer and wine, of course. Usually with these things, one or two people really love ‘em!
You know you wanna watch…
Didn’t make it to Black Rock City? No sweat, here’s some video!
The crazy thing is I didn’t see most of what’s shown in this video, and most of what I saw… isn’t in this video.
Get Wild!
It’s customary for the Super Tuesday host to select the featured album, and this month, Walter selects Sharam. In his own words:
Sharam’s style of progressive house was the highlight of my Burning Man music experience. There’s world class DJ talent at BM each year, but he stood out by playing for the crowd and kept us guessing with a variety of beats and hooks all seamlessly meshed together. He’s now a regular on my Imeem and iTunes playlists.
From Wikipedia:
Sharam Tayebi (or known simply as Sharam) is an Iranian-American progressive house DJ and producer, forming one half of the Grammy award-winning DJ/production duo, Deep Dish. Being characterized by a distinct style compared to his partner Ali “Dubfire” Shirazinia who produces minimal house. Sharam has performed as Deep Dish featuring Sharam, when he plays as the different half of the distinguished Deep Dish sound. The name Sharam is of Farsi origin and it means Shame or Modesty.
News from the front
Welcome fresh Super Tuesday alumni Brizeyda C., Mercy R. and Ben P. We expect to see you back in the future. I try to keep up with everyone new that comes to Super Tuesday Party, sometimes I can’t remember everyone. If you’ve been to Super Tueday Party and you aren’t on the alumni list, drop a line. Better yet, make the next Super Tuesday and make your demands known: “Hey! Put me on the list!”
DJ Pedro now has a brand spanking new website! Yep. Pedro will spinning under DJ Native State in the future. Expect phenomenal stuff, take a look: NativeState.Net, leave a comment.
Super Tuesday (Dave) and Deacon (Sean) are in a Blog War. It’s a battle between Dave writing blog posts and Deacon making wood block art prints. Dave has more time… Deacon works faster (because that art stuff is easier of course). Dave is currently winning… because he’s (that’s me) writing the newsletter right now and says so. We’ll see. And you should expect to see some prints from Deacon soon as well.
What are you up to? Give us the low down next Tuesday. We’ll give you a shout out… with a link if you have one to share.

Did you make it all the way down?
Most people don’t you know. Most people reading this email get about as far as 1. the picture, and 2. the address. I know this because I can track click-throughs with this AWeber emailing software. Clever, right? But if you did make it all the way down, be the first one to tell Sean or Walter or me: “I made it all the way down!” and claim your prize!
