Quickbooks

Thrashes my disk

A bully, muscles other applications out of it’s way to enforce my attention via modal dialog boxes.

Treats my time like it’s garbage

Loathesome, makes me want to uninstall it and never, ever, use it.

Commandeers my computer.

Forces a restart. Doesn’t matter the hell I am doing that is frankly more important.

But I have to use it. Evidently, Intuit has an MS like stranglehold on small business accounting software.

I am even passing its database files back and forth by email. That’s my company’s version control system for our accounting. QB online edition doesn’t have the same features for dealing with billable versus non-billable payroll, critical in small consulting companies. What the hell were they thinking? We actually signed up for it, then cancelled.

It’s so pathetic.

Not sure exactly what you’re using QuickBooks for, but have you considered a hosted software product?

Check out our small business accounting software we just released last week. You might enjoy it.

Guaranteed not to treat your time like garbage, or trash your disk ;)

Product looks good, doesn’t quite fit my needs at the moment.
