Basecamp annoyances

I am overall very happy with Basecamp.

Here are a few annoyances which are probably “user errors” but still manage to bite me on a regular basis:

  • Milestones: I regularly have problems setting the date correctly for new milestones. Even when I think I set it, sometimes it saves with the current date instead of my intended date. I don’t know why.
  • Projects: When I add a company to a new project, the project becomes “owned” by that company. This is counterintuitive to me. The project should be owned by default by the company creating the project.

I used Basecamp, but I got really tired of the things you mentioned and other stuff. Like you cannot set due dates for tasks or you have dozens of project IDs. You are welcome to check out what I use now http://www.wrike.com/
