Another mind-blowingly productive day!
Sometimes, I am able to write a post completely in one sitting. This is how I used to write everything, and it was hard.
Other times, I am not able to spend much time refining a post to my standard for publication. This may be due to lack of sufficient knowledge about the subject matter (i.e., running out of material), lack of time to create the necessary supporting material such as images, videos, etc., or being too tired to think clearly.
Yet I am still able to produce material at an increasing rate…
This is how I do it: I start a lot of drafts.
Like many people active in technology, I have a lot of ideas, most of which are decidedly less than half-baked, but nevertheless “good” in some way. As I collect a large number of draft posts, I find that more and more often, many of the ideas I have can be integrated into existing drafts, or the draft (itself often a vaguely conceived “good idea”) can be modified to support further thoughts on the subject currently inspiring me. This results in an article written faster, but over a longer period of time.
Other times, I go through my list of “Draft Posts” and edit each one that strikes my fancy at the time. This editing ranges from adding just one sentence to a post, to finishing a post and scheduling it for immediate or future publication.
Having an ever-increasing collection of blog posts makes this process easier and easier.
For example, this post is self-referential, I wrote it exactly how I am describing. Here are the revisions:
You can see that I started this post on the 4th of February 2009, and finished it on February 8 2009.
I highly recommend this method for creating a regular stream of blog posts while minimizing the effort required to create each post.

It is not easy task to write a 5 killer blog post in a single day….One killer blog post is equivalent to 1oo useless articles.
